Humble Beginnings

Born and raised in the city of Hingham, Massachusetts, young David DiMarino learned the value of a business by working in his family’s bakery shop. David and younger brother Peter worked hand in hand at the bakery with their family, being mentored by his father Micheal DiMarino until his mid-20’s, while also acquiring a Bachelors in Science in Economics from the University of Rochester, in New York.

Even while working at the family bakery, David knew he wanted to give back and expand his potential. He did so by first volunteering as a high school assistant wrestling coach at Hingham High School. From there, he went on to become the Dean of Students at Boston College High School in tandem with being promoted to the Head Wrestling Coach position. After being the Dean of Students he was transitioned to a math teacher position while still holding his head coach spot within BC High.

After starting a family with 3 young beautiful kids, the family transitioned down to Myrtle Beach in search of new financial opportunities. David was thrown in the fire, so to speak, by running a family owned laundry business which he took over from a distant cousin. Things would turn out not to be what David had hoped for in order to provide for his family. This would serve as motivation for him to branch out on his own.

Using leadership, courage, and hard work ethic, he would decide to launch his own laundry facility. This new industrial laundry, Grand Strand Linen, combined with some various cleaning contracts, would come to be as the fantastic company we all know and love today: WynStar Staffing Solutions.

Currently, David still runs his businesses just like his father Michael had taught him; always giving back and being very family oriented. He still works directly with his brother Pete, who assists in operations at Grand Strand Linen. David also works with his wife Maria, WynStar’s Human Resource Officer. New to the management scene is his eldest son Hunter, who just recently graduated from Coastal Carolina with a Bachelors in Hospitality, as the Chief Marketing Officer. David’s 2 sons, Hunter and Christian, have worked within the industry for almost a decade really solidifying David’s vision and belief in family based business.
